How to Update Your iPad

If you want to always have the latest software on your tablet, then you need to know how to update your iPad. If you have decided to update the iPad’s software, then you should know that the apps that you have and the data will still be there after the update. If you want to restore the iPad, then you need to make a backup using iTunes.

So let’s begin with some steps that you need to follow. The first that you need to make sure is that you have an internet connection. You will also need to check if you have the latest version of iTunes.

Now you can connect the device to the computer and then you can select the iPad tab which you will see in the sidebar when you open iTunes. Next you need to view the tab called “Summary” and click where you see “Check for Update”.  If you are sure that you want to install the latest software, you will have o click on the  “Update” button.

If you are interested in restoring your tablet too, now you can begin to do this by clicking “Check for Updates” and then “Restore”.  Next you will have to follow some instructions that you will see on the screen so that you can complete the process.

Now you can say that you have a “new” iPad and you can add new apps or you can restore everything that you had, using the backup. This is it: now you know how to update your iPad and how to restore it.
