IPad 2 Review
More than a year after the launch of the device that changed the market of tablets, Apple definitely “hit” again and this time they released iPad 2. The new tablet was the target of endless rumors and suspicions but behold when real data came from the users through tears and screams of joy the world was able to trace what was important about it.
The new iPad 2 comes with dual power processor core through the A5 Samsung processor, which according to Apple doubles the performances in different situations and leads to an increase of up to nine times in which regards video processing. So the iPad 2 will be able to seriously compete with nVidia Tegra 2 devices and perhaps even with the Tegra 4which brings a whole new dimension in computing for tablets. Battery life remains the same 10 hours for continuous use and up to a month in standby ( at least in the warranty period).

It comes with two cameras, VGA camera included in the front and a back camera with 720p video recording fully compatible with FaceTime. These cameras are also usable for classic photo and video recording.
Even with all these additions the iPad 2 is 33% thinner than the previous version and even a little lighter. Concluding a bit, the iPad 2 is thinner than the iPhone 4.
In this reincarnation we have the new iOS 4.3which brings improvements for Airplay, major JavaScript Safari processing improvements, FaceTime for iPad and last but not least Personal Hotspot. Personal Hotspot allows 3G connection sharing but only for the iPhone 3G. In this idea, many apps like iMovie, Garage Band and Photobooth use the new improved performance and were optimized and rebuilt to accommodate the new device.

Back to the iPad 2; this device doesn’t have a bigger resolution screen as we all expected, nor Thunderbolt connectivity as the new MacBooks have, not even SD card slots. Instead of all that it comes with an HDMI adapter and a magnetic cover that can also be used as kickstand and it was created by Apple, each costing $39 on the original iStore.
Speaking of prices, the new iPad will have exactly the same price as the previous iPad and the price is starting at $499. It also comes in two colors, black and white and the official launch was on March 11 in the U.S., as well as for the iOS 4.3, then March 26 in many other countries.
